All wedding cakes are covered in an outside layer of white chocolate ganache. Why? Because firstly it’s delicious! But it is also warm weather stable and will hold up much better in hot weather enabling your cake to stay out on show for much longer. Wedding cakes are expensive, so we want your cake to stand pride of place on your wedding day, for your guests to marvel at, and to really give the wow factor to your wedding breakfast.

The inside of your cake is buttercream/jams/curds etc. as expected. We don’t fill out cakes with ganache, we use buttercream on the inside.

Fondant Cakes: 

Fondant cakes are also covered in a thin layer of chocolate ganache (dark or white) which creates a base for smooth edges and sharp corners. 

***We do not recommend cream cheese frosting, mascarpone or fresh cream based cakes for wedding cakes. They are not stable fillings for warm weather and have to be kept in the fridge***
